SolidWorks World 2012 Hobbyist Contest

Are you a SolidWorks user 21 or older? If yes then here is your chance to win a full conference pass to attend SolidWorks World 2012

SolidWorks World 2012 will be held from February 12-15, 2012 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California, USA.

You might think that SolidWorks is all about business. But that’s not really the case. Sure, most of us are using SolidWorks tools to design products, machines, vehicles and any other manner of things. But on other side there are some of us who are using SolidWorks to design other things for your own amusement. From sway bars for hot rods to decks for houses, there are any number of things out there that were designed for personal use. And SolidWorks team is interested in seeing some of them.

So here’s an offer for you. In the comments section here, tell SolidWorks team about something you have designed for your own personal use or pleasure, and include a link to a picture or video of the thing you designed. Tell what you designed, and why you did it. And if you can, tell about any problems or special design considerations you encountered along the way. When the contest ends, SolidWorks team will take a look at all of the entries and pick a winner, who will get a free full conference pass to SolidWorks World 2012 next month in San Diego, California (February 12 – 15).
