SOLIDWORKS World 2015 is calling YOU.. Join the Wagon!!

While we’re still less then 7 months away months from SOLIDWORKS World 2015 in Phoenix , things are already starting to happen. Earlier this week DS SOLIDWORKS Corporation announced its Call for Presentations for SOLIDWORKS World 2015. SOLIDWORKS World brings together 6000 users, resellers, and partners, from around the world,  that are passionate about design using SOLIDWORKS.

SOLIDWORKS World 2015 will be held  at the Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, Arizona, February 8-11, 2015

While SolidWorks World always has lots of great presentations and guest speakers, the real value of the event for most customers comes from the technical breakout sessions that take place over three days, most of which are lead by regular SolidWorks customers. These presenters come from around the world, and lead sessions on topics in which they have considerable experience. In return, we let them into the event for free. You can see some of the presentations from SOLIDWORKS World 2014 on SOLIDWORKS World proceedings website.

Any SolidWorks customer 21 or older can submit a proposal to present at the event. If you have any interesting thing to share,  just go ahead and submit the presentation. Later this summer, SolidWorks World selection committee will get together and pick the ones that they think will be the most valuable, and send out invitations.  SolidWorks World Team encourage both long-time presenters and new applicants alike to submit.

We are looking for presentations that cover the following categories/topics:

  • Customer Success and Integrated Solutions
  • Data Management and Administration
  • Design Automation
  • Design Communication
  • Design Simulation
  • Electrical
  • Modeling Essentials
  • Productivity Tools
  • SOLIDWORKS in Education

If you want to find out more, visit the submission site and get the details. With any luck, we’ll see you at the Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, Arizona, February 8-11, 2015.

You never know if you’re presenting at next SolidWorks World.

The 9th Annual CAD Manager’s Boot Camp at SolidWorks World 2013

SolidWorks World 2013 will be held January 20-23, 2013 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin in Orlando, Florida.

CAD Manager's Boot Camp SWW2013

Each year since the SolidWorks World hosted in Boston, SolidWorks team have held the CAD Admin Bootcamp. This is an opportunity to discuss and learn more about how to manage SolidWorks and the hardware it runs on. Variety of topics (that’s why it’s really 4 hours long) are covered and members of support team available to answer questions.

Explore a wide range of topics and issues to help you effectively deploy and manage SolidWorks software. The goal of the camp is to show system administrators and IT personnel how they can use a combination of IT and CAD best practices, tools, and methodologies to reduce the total cost of ownership and maximize their investment in SolidWorks software.

At four hours, it’s a very long session, but its definitely worth it.  There are plenty of breaks, some refreshments at the back of the room, and you’ll get a chance to meet some of the attendees before the conference really gets going.  Pre-registration is recommended, but don’t worry – there will be plenty of room.

Bring lots of note paper.
